Tally.ERP 9 - Roadmap

Series A (Current - May '09)

This Series will start with the delivery of Remote Access, an integrated Support Centre, organisation-wide Control Centre and several new functionalities. We have also worked closely with our extended organisation – our partners – to offer a whole new level of high quality product support, learning and professional services.

The introduction of the Auditors’ Edition in this Series, combined with the capabilities of Remote Access and the Support Centre, gives you easier access to Chartered Accountants.

Many of these capabilities and functionalities are likely to be new to you. We expect that by the time we deliver all the capabilities and functionalities of this Series, you will have had the opportunity to fully appreciate and exploit the many advantages these bring you.

Series A will deliver (partial list):

• Remote access – anywhere, anytime access – as well as SMS callback
• Several Internet enabled services via Tally.NET
• Extended reach – by your Chartered Accountant, Service Provider and others
• Manufacturing Excise
• Cash Accounting
• Time Management & Billing
• Revamped Tax Deduction at Source (TDS)
• Improved Payroll
• Employee recruitment assistance

Series B (Sep '09 - Feb '10)

This Series will mark the release of several ‘under-the-hood’ engineering capabilities. Deeper programming capabilities and developer tools will also be released – allowing even larger organisations to centrally position Tally.ERP 9 in their IT system.

• Multi Threaded & Multi Session architecture to support more simultaneous users and more tasks per user
• Multi Stack deployment architecture to satisfy higher demands of the system
• Low latency capabilities to deliver extremely high performance, no matter what the other users are loading the system with
• Online payment engine – to support debit & credit cards, via Tally.NET

New functionality will also be delivered to support banking, taxation & asset management as well as to cater to the needs of retailers & importers/exporters:

• Online banking – from within Tally.ERP 9
• Bank reconciliation – automated or semi-automated
• Point of Sale for most retail needs
• Comprehensive Income Tax support
• Export-Import documentation
• Job Costing
• Fixed Assets

Series C (Jun - Aug '10)

The largest of enterprise needs will be met in this Series – supporting massive scalability, high availability and business continuity. All these new capabilities can be 'folded' into a single system – say a notebook – as well: the promise of the Power of Simplicity ® continues to be available to the simplest user of Tally.ERP 9.

Specifically these capabilities will be available in this Series:

• Unlimited data volume – support for multiple database file servers
• High availability – support for hardware failures, abnormal loads & version issues
• High extendibility – improved development support and tools
• High integrate-ability – with process engines and data exchange servers
• Collaborative commerce – buyer and supplier interactions from within Tally.ERP 9
• Workflow – based on the way business rules operate in real life

Highlights of the functionalities in this Series:

• Publish to sell – with the availability of the payment engine, collaborative commerce and other
  services available under Tally.NET make your products available for anyone to buy electronically
• Field Force Automation – your people on the ground – your sales force – will be able to take full advantage of the connected world, mobile devices, remote access and workflow for efficient sales, delivery and collection
• Complex Bill of Materials and support for other inventory needs – improve stocking, replenishment and planning
